OITBC Dinner & Movie featuring
“MILK” by Noemí Weis

The purpose of this event is community education, and to start the conversation about breastfeeding among the Native American community. Oregon Inter-Tribal Breastfeeding Coalition (OITBC) will be featuring the film MILK by Noemí Weis and introducing guest speaker Nichole June Maher (Tlingit Tribe), President and CEO of Northwest Health Foundation, an advocate for creating healthy families and communities. Partners of OITBC will be present to discuss the services they provide. There will be a silent auction, marketplace of handmade goods by vendors, clothing closet, and dinner provided. Proceed from this event will benefit Oregon Inter-Tribal Breastfeeding Coalition’s goal of becoming a non-profit organization by 2016. A great opportunity to connect with the Native community and enjoy the sunshine. Oregon Inter-Tribal Breastfeeding Coalition will be holding their 2nd annual Baby shower over the weekend in the Wombyns Wellness area. They will be conducting their year-long survey for gathering maternal child health information and experiences to bring stronger service to Native families.
